Breeding Profile

His sire is the world famous Dutch Courage, who won Great Britain's first ever Individual Bronze Medal at the World Championships in 1978. In an outstanding career he won 127 competitions including 32 Grand Prix. Dutch Courage is the only British based stallion ever to compete himself and to have three of his sons compete at Grand Prix Level, as well as being the sire of Clog Dancer - Asian high jump record holder at 7'2 ½".

Catherston Decipher has many of his sires characteristics, which have helped him to have a hugely successful Dressage career.

Choiseul Sound was a big winner in hand as a yearling, and then unfortunately she met with an accident and was retired to breeding. She has since then produced an Intermediate Event horse by Dutch Gold, Catherston Dauphin and a Medium dressage horse by Dutch Courage, Catherston Director.

Progeny

Catherston Decipher's foals are elegant and well made with good necks and heads even when coming from poor fronted mares. He has progeny in the show ring, eventing and Prix St George Dressage. He is a real improver of all his mares and a horse that will help produce more swing and elasticity in the paces. One of his foals, out of Goldstone, has had a successful season in the show ring having won or been placed at every outing.

Another, Sasperilla, out of Misstinger won the Hack Foal at Fordingbridge Show and had other successes at the NPS Foal Show.

His daughter, Catherston Petunia, out of Wolverina is a dressage horse currently competing at PSG, and was 3rd in the FEI PSG at Hickstead in 2004. She was also shown as a 2 year old and was 3rd at South of England Show in the Hunter class.

Catherston Duellist - Dressage horse winning at Medium level.

Decoded - Dressage horse who has won at Elementary level. Decoded has also had many top 3 places at County level showing from Hunter foal to Ridden Hunter classes.

Deciphers Evening Star - Novice Event Horse qualified for the 2006 Combined Training National Championships.

Enigma - Winner of the New Forest Show 2006 Hunter foal.

He has also produced a coloured foal “Jennie Any Dots”, from a coloured mare “Bianca Domino”.
